RICK FAIRLESS HITS THE BIG TIME WITH DISCOVERY CHANNEL ‘BIKER BUILD OFF’
For Immediate Release

DALLAS (March 1, 2005) — Rick Fairless, veteran custom bike builder and owner of the popular motorcycle pad Strokers Dallas, is getting ready to rule the road with a series of upcoming television shows and celebrity biker junkets.

Fairless will make his national television debut as the main character of a March 22 episode on the hit Discovery Channel show “Biker Build-Off,” where he’s pit against another bike designer to craft a one-of-a-kind chrome creation at Strokers for the show’s signature custom bike contest. The show features bike builders that have earned success and limelight through loyal fan followings, event tours and industry media coverage.

Fairless also will soon be setting himself apart from the crowd when he gets his own biker reality show on the SPEED Channel, which is scheduled to air in summer. This will become only the second reality biker show focused on a motorcycle personality to raid the airwaves since the debut of the Teutels on the hit series American Chopper on Discovery Channel. The new reality show will spotlight Rick Fairless and his cast of characters at Strokers Dallas and Strokers Ice House.

Strokers was voted the top motorcycle hangout in 2004 by readers of Ride Texas Magazine.

Fairless also has been selected as a featured designer at the upcoming “Art and Heart of a Motorcycle” custom bike exhibit at the Janette Kennedy Gallery at South Side on Lamar on Friday, March 25.

He also has been tapped in 2005 to travel with a group of well-known biker names as part of the Easyriders Centerfold Tour, a motorcycle entourage that has a traveling custom bike showcase and entertains riders and enthusiasts at large motorcycle rallies and events nationwide. He also can be seen in Choppers: Heavy Metal Art, a new book by the well-known motorcycle photographer Michael Lichter.
