ITEM OF THE WEEK
Along with our monthly online specials, I’ve also talked Rick into doing a discounted item of the week for the apparel department.
Starting every Monday morning a new item will be featured at a significant discount. Products will range from a particular pair of Chippewa riding boots, to a certain color bandanna/doo rag. This week’s item is all of our leather headwear: flyer cap, cowhide cycle hat, leather doo rags and bomber style hats. “These stylish lids feature a super lightweight and comfortable shell with a few significant upgrades since the original version. The flake is much bigger and crisper, hence the “Megaflake” name. Vintage style chrome strip around the opening is pure class and adds some nice detail. The new liner now has detail stitching and contrasting ventilated panels in the top. The embossed goggle strap has a new shape and an improved snap. The liner is completely removable and washable, and we now sell replacement liners as well.
A word about sizing. Miraculously, the Biltwell helmet is one size fits most. Medium helmet-wearers and their size 8+ pals can squeeze their melons into our helmet without discomfort. That’s because the foam padding inside our helmets is really soft and compliant, and because our outer shell is so flexible. Of course, this is the reason why the Biltwell helmet is designed for novelty purposes only, and should never be worn to operate an actual motorcycle. Simply put, Biltwell helmets do not meet any DOT or other safety standards.”
