Hey ya’ll, for the past several months we have been working hard on a custom Royal Enfield project.  I have one mission on this project, to make this bike the COOLEST ROYAL ENFIELD ON THE PLANET!  Did I accomplish my mission, you tell me.  I will have a public unveiling of my Rick Fairless (RF) Custom Royal Enfield on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:30pm at my booth at the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) at Dallas Convention Center (DCC).  The bike started life as a 2011 Royal Enfield C5 Bullet.  Royal Enfield has been building bikes since 1901.  They are 500cc bikes that have fuel injection & electric start.  They have a top speed of 80-85mph & they can cruise at 65mph all day long. 

I sold one to a fellow that flew in from Houston & rode it home.  A  month after that he rode the bike from Houston to Vermont & back!  He said he had absolutely no problems with the bike & he got 80 MPG!  Also, I sold one to a cat that flew in from Alabama & rode it back home to Alabama.  He sent us an email that said he owns a Harley, a BMW & now a Royal Enfield & that the Royal Enfield is the most fun to ride.  We have been a Royal Enfield for several years now & they are really amazing bikes.  They have a vintage look straight from 1955.  They retail from $5600 – $6700.  They have some special editions out now with Desert Storm paint & Army green paint.  I love them & I hope ya’ll can come see my new RF Custom Royal Enfield.  Coolest Royal Enfield on the planet?  I think so, but you tell me what you think.  I’ll see y’all Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1:30pm at my booth in the IMS show at the DCC.

As I am sure that you all have heard by now, Big Dog Motorcycles has closed their doors.  I am sure that your initial reaction is despair, quickly followed by panic and worry.  Strokers Dallas has been a dealer and service center for BDM for as long as Big Dog has been in business, and we are not going anywhere.   We may have lost Big Dog, but our technicians have not lost their training and we are still here for our customers!  We weathered the storm when American Ironhorse closed their doors and still work on them today.  While there are a few things that are Big Dog specific on their motorcycles, there are many things that are not and we are able to acquire the parts needed to service them.  Feel free to call our service department anytime with any questions!  We will be glad to service your motorcycle and get you back out on the road as soon as possible!  Customers are our number one priority and will continue to meet your needs to the best of our abilities! 

Hey gang, this weekend we will celebrate our 16^th Anniversary.  It seems like yesterday that I had this crazy idea of opening a motorcycle shop with a bar & grill on the same property.  When I first hatched the idea, I immediately dismissed it as just a dream….& then I thought, “I wish somebody would open a custom motorcycle shop in Dallas & then I got goose bumps & I thought, why can’t that somebody be me?!  Why can’t Rick Fairless be the cat that opens a custom motorcycle shop/beer joint in Dallas, Texas?  Sure, I had worked for Glidden Paint Company for 20 years, but I was eligible for retirement.  So, I threw my entire being into trying to make my dream a reality.  During this long process, I just knew that something would happen to derail my dream from becoming reality, but it didn’t.  Every time I came to a road block, I went around it or over it or right through the dang roadblock.  Fast forward 16 years later & here we are.  What a ride it’s been & I’m just getting started!  Please come join us this weekend as we celebrate with 3 days of BIKES BABES & BEER.

I have been a Royal Enfield dealer for several years now.  They build a great bike at a great price – about $6,300 or less.  The Royal Enfield’s have retro styling reminiscent of the 1950’s.  They are 500 cc’s & have a top speed of about 85 mph but can cruise at 65 mph.  I sold one earlier this year to a gentleman who flew in from Houston, rode the Royal Enfield back to Houston, then rode it to Vermont & back!  He averaged 80 mpg & had a blast on the bike.  Well, Royal Enfield gave me a bike to customize & customizing it we are!  I’m making a very cool bobber out of it & I am very excited with our progress.  This is really gonna be a swell 500 cc thumper & I look forward to showing it to y’all.  I will unveil it at the International Motorcycle Show here in Dallas on December 2-4, 2011.  We will also develop some parts for the Royal Enfield that will help you customize the bike.  Anyway, next time you’re here, please check out the Royal Enfield’s.  They are swell bikes for just banging around town & they are very fun to ride.  It makes a great starter bike or a great second bike.  Come on in, I’ll show ya what I’m talking about!
