Sons of Anarchy Season Premiere

 Sons of Anarchy Season 4 will air September 6^th on FX at 9 pm (central time). As you remember, last season ended with the SAMCRO boys going to prison. 

What I have read is the first new show will start with a 14 month lapse in time to allow the majority of SAMCRO’s prison sentence to occur off screen.  I have also seen a sneak preview where Gemma, Tara, and a new baby son visit Jax in prison.  Surely, I am not giving any secrets away . . .I saw the clip on Facebook!  Katey Sagal, aka Gemma, also won a Golden Globe for her character.

 I cannot wait until we can watch SOA again!

A Tribute to Farrah Fawcett

What guy doesn’t remember the iconic poster of Farrah Fawcett in the famous red swimsuit?  Well, that guy would have to be over 40!!  Rick has the poster hanging in his office now. 

Well good news Farrah lovers- Mattel has come out with a Farrah Fawcett Barbie doll that depicts the legendary picture taken by Andy Warhol.   

Farrah made a lasting impression on every girl with her signature hair.  I must admit I tried to pull it off . . . check out mine and Rick’s wedding picture in 1979.

Dallas Quarterback Romo is off the market!
 
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and former TV sports reporter Candice Crawford tied the knot on Saturday, which was North Texas’ version of the Royal Wedding.  (Image of the invitation from here)

The nupitals were held at Arlington Hall, a historic mansion along Turtle Creek in uptown Dallas.  No cells phone were allowed inside the ceremony so no photos would be leaked out.  How will we know what her dress looked like?  One of our mechanics worked the event for the catering company!!
 
Many celebrities were there including Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys.  He had to ask for permission to attend the ceremony because the owners cannot talk to the players during the NFL lock out.

It is official now.  Tony Romo, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, will wed Candice Crawford on Saturday, May 28th at the Arlington Hall at Lee Park in Dallas, Texas (www.arlingtonhallatleepark.com). 

Everyone knows who Tony Romo is, but Candice has her own fame.  She was Miss Missouri 2008, a reporter for KDAF channel 33TV covering high school sports and other events, the younger sister of Chace Crawford (who stars in Gossip Girl), and her father is the amazing Dr. Crawford here in Dallas.  The last time I was in to see the beautiful Dr. Crawford he spilled the beans and told me that his daughter and Tony were getting married on his birthday.  (Meghan, our marketing guru, told me that everyone is allowed to have a secret crush.  Rick’s obviously is Pam Anderson and mine is Dr. Crawford!!) 

Tony Romo lives in our neighborhood so you never know who we will see.

It’s hard to write a blog about Charlie Sheen. You can barely finish your post before he is making news again! He just doesn’t stop! In fact, this post has been edited several times already because new information just keeps coming up!

Charlie Sheen has a  couple of new jobs and sets Guinness World Record on Twitter.  
 
Charlie Sheen’s No. 1 hit show for the last 7 years, Two and a Half Men, has been put on hiatus due to his statements and conduct in the media.  (UPDATE: Charlie Sheen has officially been fired by the producers of Two and a Half Men). Not to worry Charlie Sheen set the fastest Guinness World Record on Twitter (http://twitter.com/charliesheen) to hit 1 million followers, which he did in 25 hours 17 minutes . . WOW . . see what craziness can get you? After 1 week he now has over 2 million followers.  He has also been hired to pitch products on Twitter.   (UPDATE: Sheen is now looking to hire a social network intern to help him manage his many accounts. Many reports claim he does not write his own tweets).

And, now Mark Cuban wants to team up with Charlie Sheen on his cable network HDnet to do a reality show or talk show.  Perfect, 2 hot heads working together. 

Hopefully,  Charlie Sheen brings in enough money to support himself, the 2 Goddesses, the ex-wives, and all the kids!

Forget the Royal Nail Polish- now Kate Middleton (soon to be Princess Katherine after marrying Prince William) has her own BEER! 

It is made by Castle Rock Brewery and is called “Kiss Me Kate.”  Unfortunately, it will only be available in pubs in Britain. 

We should all get to be a Princess!  Not to worry . . . I am still taking off Friday, April 29th to watch the wedding all day . . . unless of course I get my invitation- then I’ll be there!!

Stage and screen star Debbie Reynolds (“Singin’ in the Rain” with Gene Kelly when she was 19) is a passionate movie buff and keeper of an enormous Hollywood memorabilia collection worth millions.  In June 2011, Debbie’s collection will go up for sale with Profiles in History auction house.  

Among the things up for sale that Rick and I would love (if any has millions to give us!) are:

~Marilyn Monroe’s iconic white dress in “The Seven Year Itch” . . . Rick would want that, but it should go for a couple of million . . . not quite in our price range.

~And, what I would want: Julie Andrews’ peasant dress and guitar from “The Sound of Music” along with the children’s clothes made from curtains in the movie.

There are more good things, including Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s Cleopatra costumes, etc.

So let’s see who ends up with Marilyn’s dress in June!
