Ma’s Roadhouse: Rick Fairless

RICK FAIRLESS BIO

Rick, the long-haired hippy who has never missed a day of work in his life, shows up at the gym every day before 5 AM, gets to work by 6 AM and stays until 7 PM every day, 8 days a week. Strokers Dallas is only closed two days of the year (Thanksgiving and Christmas), and you can bet Rick is here working on those days too! He drives a tie-dyed suburban that his wife hates, he sings along to Hank Williams Sr. and Johnny Cash, and he loves a nice cold Dr. Pepper. With icons like Janis Joplin, John Lennon and Jerry Garcia, it’s no wonder he keeps a fun, energetic, easy-going workplace…until you screw up. Then, Rick is hell on wheels. You mess up and you’re out, but he always has a resolution.

Married (twice) to the love of his life, with most of his five kids working at the bar, Rick struggles to balance family and business. Add to that his 71-year old chain smoking, cussing and hard-drinking Ma who thinks she knows how to run the business better than he does. He always has to play nice with Ma to make sure she thinks she knows best.  Despite the family squabbles and interesting yet demanding clients, Rick manages to oversee a shop that, on a weekly basis, creates and modifies stunning, one-of-a-kind choppers! Whether its family drama, a ticking deadline to trick out a six-figure motorcycle, or a huge party to throw, there is always something going on at Strokers.
